Pacific pearls history and archive photos

Pattye.. Yes they aren't really a new invention just that we didn't see so many of them then. The sorting work was much better then.. It's harder for them to retain skilled sorters who really care about the finished product in China these days. Nowadays .. It is so common to find mixed quality...

A new super necklace of 20 - 28 mm. pearls

That strand is amazing.... I would NOT want to be the person who has to drill it.... Sometimes on those huge pearls the nucleus will become dislodged and rattle around inside making stringing an absolute nightmare... Not to mention the smell that those gorgeous pearls are probably hiding inside...

Wow! That's amazing! Has anyone seen the Chanel sunglasses with the pearls set on the inside ? They're real pearls.. Vintage Japan Akoya pearl clasps, help requested!

Thank you ladies... Lilliefuzzysocks, thank you... I was trying to steer clear of evaluating the clasps based on listings that included strands of varying qualities of pearls strung on them. I really appreciate the suggestions you came up with. Pattye, yes i thought some of these would be...
