There certainly are some poorly lit photos on some sites. As in, too dark to see flaws or lack of real color.

Reporting back. Bottom line, no, Rit Dye didn't dye my pearls. More details: I attempted to dye the pearls along with a shirt I wanted to tint towards a warmer tone. I put the pearls into the mesh bag, and used the bucket version vs the washing machine version. The shirt was mainly cotton, but...
