Once I broke it open I thought it was glass myself feels the smaller bits felt almost like sand when rubbed between my fingers I broke open a larger pearl from another.strand I received today and it felt the.same I thank you for.your help and would ask if you could help me further my grandmother...

The pearl in the picture right above your post I don't feel any difference where that dimple is but I work with my hands and they are pretty rough I may just not be noticing any minute difference in it

It does pass the teeth test I don't have a magnifier but the drill holes fo Dont seem to be beveled I replied with more pictures close up on a paper towel I don't know why it hasn't shown up on the thread yet

My wife is on vacation and has our camera so I'm doing the best I can with my phone

Please help identify got these from my grandmother who got it from her mother each pearl is shaped just slightly different almost all of them have a dimple
