Thanks all for your kind comments! I'm overall happy with my purchase even though they aren't like perfectly round Akoya, I liked the idea of freshwaters lasting for a lifetime if properly taken of. You all have greatly helped me in my decisions. :)

That is a brilliant idea, KaySD! I think I may request that! I have never thought of stringing two strands together to make a double strand. The overtones are different but very, very subtle.

Hmm I am a bit worried now I got a bad batch! Lol...but I swear I keep looking at it in person and they mostly look round! It must be an illusion of the eye. But I totally see the off-roundness in the pics.

Its funny looking at the pics now so large I really notice that certain pearls are off-round...but I never even noticed when I tried them on! Except for the one pearl in 8.5-9.0 mm strand...
