    Mikimoto pearl and clasp identification

I think it is probably a T in the clamshell. User, Diamondsareforever posted a query regarding a clasp very similar, if not identical to your photo and Pearl Dreams identified it as Tasaki. See here https://www.pearl-guide.com/threads/brand-identification.462717/#post-476162

    Identify Jewelry Mark

An internet search reveals that the CTO mark as depicted, was a registered trademark for O. C Tanner Jewelry Co of Salt Lake City from 1962 until expiry in 1987 for "ALL TYPES OF JEWELRY FOR PERSONAL WEAR OR ADORNMENT, SUCH AS FINGER RINGS, EARRINGS, LAPEL BUTTONS, LAPEL PINS, TIE PINS, TIE...

    Mikimoto?

Just as a follow-up, I am not suggesting that the price on Mikimoto's website is indicative of what this would realise but merely to show that they have done a similar threading/weaving which I hadn't seen before. As we know pearls do not hold their value that well but if this is Mikimoto and...

    Mikimoto?

I don't disagree with either Pattye or BWeaves. It is lovely. There is a necklace on Mikimoto's American site, that involves diamonds, akoya and South Sea pearls for an eyewatering price. It is a similar weave which they call a Lace necklace. What is it strung on? I can see what looks...

    Quick Mikimoto question

I don't know either but according to an Australian antique jewellery website, K. Mikimoto Tokyo was an early mark. Here is the link https://emprades.com.au/blog/identifying-vintage-mikimoto-pearl-jewellery/ My concerns are more that the name has been applied rather than impressed and I...

Is this a light colored conch necklace?

Ang, I am pleased you are having it appraised and do please post the outcome. I think it may be what is called Angel Skin coral which was popular in the '70s/80s. You see it in vintage pieces, sometimes with just a blush of pink and sometimes more pale and creamy light salmon colour.

Did I buy a fake Mikimoto necklace?

Personally I think they are gorgeous and I think that you got a very good deal and any girl would be thrilled with them. If you wish to make it more personal for your daughter, then perhaps you could restring them yourself. It is pretty easy and Pearl Dreams has a tutorial on this site and...

    Is this a Mikimoto brooch

Bab4444, trust your instincts. I am not an expert but I have a few vintage Mikimoto brooches and none of them are set like this. One of the things I like about their brooches apart from the pearls of course, is the very clean setting - nearly all prong set with no excess glue ever. Also...

Jeg, I love this too. I like the way the pearls dangle from the bracelet. What are the little briolettes used on the PP tincup?
