    Thoughts on a humble strand

Well, I've finished! I'm so happy with the end result, and I've discovered a new love for stringing pearls. I used a pink silk, and finished the necklace off with a 14k barrel clasp from a broken bracelet I had on hand. I didn't end up using all of the pearls, as there was too much white for my...

    Thoughts on a humble strand

Hello all! For anyone still following along, I've laid out the new design for the necklace! I sorted the pearls into the three color groups of purple, pink, and gold, using the remaining cream and white to ombre the groups into one another. I knew I wanted the one bubblegum pink pearl front and...

    Mystery graduated pearl necklace

    Mystery graduated pearl necklace

I remembered that I have this double strand I bought years ago with very similar funky little pearls! Mystery graduated pearl necklace

Thanks Pattye, I certainly will! If anything, they might read as naturals from a distance, which is fine and dandy. Thank you for your thoughts!

    Mystery graduated pearl necklace

I thought it might be worn like a torsade, and I tried twisting it but it looked so clunky with the graduation as extreme as it is. It also felt too fragile at the ends. Maybe it was what they were going for, but i fear it wasn't successful.

I'm excited to restring them! I just have to fine a suitable clasp to replace this one. Thanks for your help!

    Mystery graduated pearl necklace

Hello all! I have another mystery to solve! I just purchased this necklace from Goodwill for not much money. I loved the graduated design, and high lustre on the pearls. The smallest ones are barely 1mm, and the largest about 3mm x 5mm. The necklace is 18.5" in total length. They are an...
