I’m not a pearl expert but I suspect the pearls are shell pearls. I’ve compared the pearl to actual freshwater pearls and the texture feels different? It’s also more durable then normal pearls
I bought a single south sea pearl from Etsy and it cost $140. The seller state it’s a very good quality pearl and I have to admit it does look great. It is around 10mm.
