Cathy, I contacted my mom. She said that it's more than l.ikely a Mississippi river pearl, but she's going by her friend who left her the ring ( sadly, she is deceased ) and what she knows of her habits and likes, also her family history.

I do not know of the ring's history, but don't you know how I wish I did! It's possible that it came from a friend of my mother's. She was from Oklahoma - LOVED her jewelry. I will ask and get back with you on it.
