Of course I couldn't help myself....I went back to Shreve and tried on another strand of Mikimoto SS pearls. I believe they are 16" This time I wrote down the size! 12.9-12mm SS pearls for $32,000 :eek: Earrings are 11-11.5mm

I read somewhere that Akoya pearls wear out faster than freshwater pearls? Does this apply for necklaces or earrings? TIA :)

I went into Shreeve and Company a few months ago and tried on a Mikimoto pearl necklace. I can't for the life of me remember what size they are - can the experts tell me please? For context, I am a 5' tall (fun size) :D TIA!
