    Kundan necklace,Indian ingenuity

A very beautiful piece - I agree it has a very “ancient” flair to it, and even though it is overlaid base metal the work that most have gone into it does make it precious in my opinion. A great find!

Thank you all for the nice words! And Douglas, I’m happy to hear you had a nice V day - my Valentine and I are in different countries and stuck due to Corona, so we had to have a virtual dinner instead :) I have continued with the “re-working” trend - and I think that I am finally content with...

Natural Pearls from the Gulf of California-Mexico

What a beautiful pearl! Contributing with my own natural pearls from Baja California- a pair of studs from Cortez pearls (thank you Douglas!). They are seriously tiny - I think around 3-4 mm but I think they have a great surface and luster for natural pearls. I can’t remember whether they are...

Thanks everyone for the nice words, and thank you Douglas for your wishes, I hope you and your wife had a special day yesterday! Pattye - I really do agree with you. In the last couple of months my focus had been on buying less and reworking/tweaking pieces I already own and that I find myself...

I have also had the chance to had the PP Tahitian necklace reworked - I shortened it slightly and replace the clasp with a small orbit clasp, I love the way it looks right now

    My small pearl rainbow

Dear Douglas - thank you so much! The floating cortez pearl necklace and the pair of natural pearl earrings are my favorite pieces, and I have to thank you for that :) I have since had the bail moved, attaching the revamped pendant in a longer chain, I love the way it looks and hangs now.

Pearlbop- thank you for your kind words :) Bw, pattye - I have taken the pendant back to the jeweler to have the bail moved - hope it will hang right this time. While waiting I have stumbled upon a nice pair of blue baroque akoya studs - and I could not resist. Initially I was a bit skeptical...

    My small pearl rainbow

Katbran - the bracelets are quite lustrous, I kind of like them despite the off color. For what concerns the pendant I am posting two pictures- the first of it hanging- and the second of how I would like it to hang. I am not sure it would be feasible, but I thought that maybe by moving the bale...

    My small pearl rainbow

Katbran and Sydk, your messages actually made me reconsider returning the pearls - considering their cost it really wasn’t worth shipping them back to China. I have picked the pearls with the best luster and have made two bracelets- the color really doesn’t work with my skin tone, but with a...

Sorry to hear about that Charlotta! I was mainly surprised because the fireball I got from here looked exactly like the picture, so I thought I could rely on those. I wrote to Yunlan about it and it looks like she is fine with me exchanging/returning them, so that is a plus for her as a seller.
