Hmm. Honestly, if you loved them and didn’t really care what they were id say go for it. Otherwise I don’t think knowing that they possibly are a akoyas or a super rare type will change that. Pearls don’t keep a resale value I personally think emotional attachment to them is more important 😊

Hmmm they do look like Akoya to me - the sheen is similar to mine. And you can the tails that have been clipped. But the size seems very large for akoyas. Are these expensive? Reputable seller? Freshwater don’t usually have this color unless it’s a great dye job

The course is very informative. And many people enjoy dyed freshwater, but we all want to actually know what we are buying.

Hmmm I’ve never heard of dyed pearls inducing allergies in the wearer. Does Not mean it can’t happen . I would just return to seller without explanation other than they don’t suit you.

The luster look like freshwater. Very satiny , not as sharp as Tahitian.

Dyed freshwater. The shape and color are all wrong for Tahitian

Hmmm I know after 7mm the price goes up on Akoyas as larger than that is rare. They are a smaller oyster compared to others

I have no problem paying fees when an item is imported,, but much prefer to prepay them for this reason!
