  • Nesting vs. Twisting?

For strands of the same length, do you prefer to nest them or twist them? I've been playing around with some strands and I can't decide if I like the twisted look or not.

I feel nesting is much more classic and elegant! It gives them a softer look.

Nesting is when one strand sits or lays just inside the other strand. The strand that nests inside has to be shorter than the strand on the outside. This is often done with double and triple strands.

Twisting means a mini-torsade ? That can be nice for smaller pearls, won't they? I especially like autumn colors in torsade.

Yes, twisting is usually done with smaller pearls and gives more of a fun, flirty look.
