365 Days of Pearls

Restringing is such fun and a great creative outlet! You can play with clasps, add a vintage one, mix and match colors and textures. In particular, if you find you aren't wearing something, you can create something entirely new. I don't want to interfere with your gorgeous thread so later today, I will post a "harvest" strand of tahitians that I restrung. I had a simple 7mm tahitian strand purchased in Hawaii. I never wore it so I tore it apart and now love the result.

I have about 10 strands.

This is the biggest group pic I have.

BN you really have one of the most spectacular Tahitian collection! And with some of them being ropes, it's like you have 13-15 strands in these 10 strands! I still vividly remember some of these strands, the Easter Eggs, the ombre, the pastel football, the Ritikea gem strand, the Kiera Knightly strand, and everything else!

I'm still recovering from your group Tahitian shot. Heavens dear, you have a lovely collection.

Purr - goodness they look marvellous all together ! Beautiful !

Those Rosebuds are nice - they have a nice golden cast to them. The good thing about this exercise is that it will cause you to bring out things, like these Rosebuds, that you never wear. You might rediscover them and start to wear them. If you aren't going to reuse them..just sell em off and put the money towards something new. ( I'm preparing to sell my house this year...so if I keep telling people to get rid of things you'll know why...declutter)

Hi BN,
I'm really enjoying seeing the wonderful photos of your beautiful collection. Looking forward to seeing "our bunny" :) hugs, m

Marianne-- Hello!!

I LOVE our bunny!! I never would have brought this darling home if you hadn't spotted him in that box of soufflés during the ruckus!

I'm thinking of having him set with a simple bail and wearing him on a leather cord.

Here he is beside the turtle that I also bought.

Two metallic souffle pearls from Pearl Paradise ruckus

Oh, how wonderful! A Sea of Tahitians, and then creamy rosebuds ... I love those rosebuds ... and VELVET again makes me SO Happy :)

Haha-- you know I think of you when I reach for these velvet trimmed sweaters, Cathy!

It's amazing how those pearls change color when they're up against the green sweater. They're peachy pink, peachy pink, and then suddenly silver blue.

Yes it's a completely different look. The mystery of pearls...

Ok, I am blushing. Thank you for the kind words Purranha! I am keeping my fingers crossed that we are so fortunate as to have a 2017 ruckus to look forward to. If we do, I hope you bring some of your creations! I do understand concern about theft... but please bring a few!

Katbran, these were my thoughts exactly. By spending time with each of these pieces, I may fall in love all over again. Or, I may cut them up and transform them into something else or sell them to the highest bidder. That sounded harsh, I was trying to be funny. I will probably keep them or rework them into a new piece.
