Dear friends please adivse me what this is actually, from my child hood my grand parents, great grand parents use to tell that this is a unique and price less thing and very very old, can some one advise me what can be the price of this basra shell in the international market.

It is some sort of gastropod, possibly a turban shell (Turbo petholatus, for example). It is difficult to tell as it is polished. It would not be the type of shell producing nacreous Basra pearls.
