| Dear friends please adivse me what this is actually, from my child hood my grand parents, great grand parents use to tell that this is a unique and price less thing and very very old, can some one advise me what can be the price of this basra shell in the international market. regards Mansoor             |

| It is some sort of gastropod, possibly a turban shell (Turbo petholatus, for example). It is difficult to tell as it is polished. It would not be the type of shell producing nacreous Basra pearls.
