Hi,

These are my Mikimotos. I like them they are not the tiny, short strands that are generally around. There are 20 inches of pearls and the biggest pearl is 9 mm and smallest 5 mm. I think that is not a bad graduation.

I took some photos of them but they didn't turn out that great. They look a bit lack lustre in this photo. In others they have way too much colour. They are whites.

Let me know what you think.

Dawn

They are quite lovely. I agree with you on the size as I don't care to go smaller than 5mm either. The 9mm's are nice for the large ones. Pictures not too bad either. Thanks for sharing.

The lace you photo'd them on is beautiful!

Hi pattye,

Thanks pattye, what do you think of the lustre re other Mikis you might have seen. I photos are not the best but I finally got close although I think they are better in the flesh so to speak.

I have seen one amazing Miki necklace, probably close to top line and I think they had a lot on it but for any Miki collector it would have been worth it. Even I drooled over it and I am not a mad Miki person.

Hi barbie biggs,

Thanks again, I think the size of them is special. Being Mikis doesn't hurt of course. I think I will do a search for other Mikis on eBay so I can compare mine to them. I am not really a formal person myself and love baroques, exotics, Kasumi, Keshi etc. Blue pearls I adore such as Cortez and even really nice akoya that are blues.

The lace is 2 fine cotton pillow cases put together to form a lace photo area. I think they are safer being used for that than me to sleep on them. They really are pretty, but I am just scared to use them. Like I get scared to wear some of my pearl rings in case I hurt them.

Hi Dawn,

Gosh, it's hard for me to judge lustre via camera. Those look to be in pretty good shape, I guess you could see if there was wear near the drill hole. It has been just over 10 years since I sold Miki's in a retail environment, and even then my preference was for baroques! I won a pair of Miki earrings which I have never worn, keep thinking I will sell them on ebay one of these days!

Hi Pattye, that is just the problem. I have checked out eBay and some at going at extremely high BIN prices and others I have checked I can see where the photos have been enhanced. So comparisons are hard.

Thanks, Dawn
