Again, my humble thanks...AND a BIG thank you to PP.

I wonder where I should post if I want someone to look at the assortment of broken pearl necklaces I have from my mother.

We are close to Sarasota Florida - Tampa - Ft. Meyers...should I start a "thread"?

Please do start a thread. Put it in the "cultured pearls" forum. They will be fun to look at and guess.

That is a lovely design. I think it will also look good with a smooth white gold chain.

I wear my own Tahitian pearl in a very similar style - just one pearl, on leather, with a shell and loop fastening. I never take it off.

The pearl is very special, as I snorkelled the oyster strings, picked the string, then picked the oyster that it came from.

I also still have the shell.

You can't get more personalized than that. How fun it must have been!
