How long did it take you to put THAT outfit together?" I had to correct him about both: they are NOT fakes, and the pairing was complete happenstance. He didn't believe me, at least on the latter.

So... if you match your clothes and your pearlies TOO well, folks might think you bought fake pearls to match your clothes!

I guess people often are so casual nowadays, when someone looks "put together" it's assumed to have taken a while? Which I guess is a compliment . . . or maybe not??? Hmm. Anyway, guys have it so easy!

jerin (and others), the drop and the oval, they're equally comfortable and easy to wear?

GemGeek, I read your comment on the silver bodycolor, and, just for the heck of it, I took a look at PP's site, and compared one silver bodycolor (with peacock/green overtones) and one dark peacock bodycolor (with peacock overtones):

They're both pretty, but the silver does seem more shimmery. I like the light effects!

And here's one with gray bodycolor (with peacock overtones):

My two cents worth - I love the silver one with the peacock overtones. I also like the drop shape, with or without the circles, as opposed to the round, circled one. I just think the drop shape looks delicious and organic (weird description, sorry). The shape just holds more interest for me, and reminds me that pearls are grown, not lab-created.

You know, I have also been blatantly asked if my pearls were real. I'm always surprised that people feel so free to ask that. I always tell them, "Of course they are real. I do NOT wear falsies." It usually sends them stammering away. A friend of mine suggested I start saying, "They are real and they are FABULOUS." (You know, as a little Seinfeld reference.)

The silver and gray strands are gone now. They didn't last long! I think only the dark one was sold when I posted the links yesterday . . . .

I was trying to decide on those and a few more prior to the links. My monitor colors don't seem to show the same colors as the description. After emailing Kirsten last week, chatting with Natalie, getting opinions from PG and my daughter, I ordered both unstrung to choose 1. They are arriving Monday. I will let you know my decision. Thank you for everyone's help.

Jody, have you decided on any strands?

Absolutely. It just depends on what your personal preference is, they will drape just as fine.

Together 277 and 287

The kids like the darker one 277 due to rose overtone, and probably because the center pearls are larger and the necklace looks more substantial.

I am leaning towards the lighter one 287, but not really sure yet. Both go with my turquoise and green tops. The darker one 277 has slightly more blemishes but I like the rose overtone. The lighter one 287 is cleaner but slightly smaller. Decision, decision, decision. I am thinking of getting the lighter one and then get a really nice, deep peacock in the future. LOL.

Hanaleimom, have you decided yet? Which one looks better on (with your skintone)?
