phew
I would need to practice to even take a few steps in them - it has been so cold here until the last few days that I have been wearing crochet Uggs. (def not FMs)

Oh my, I don't think you were EVER meant to take a step in those. Maybe the pearl (?) on the end is to prevent you from impaling someone when you are wear them not to walk in.

I've thought of an easier way to attach a pearl - watch my website in a few days! Plus another shoe related idea I had.

I'm having a difficult time drinking my tea today. Trying not to laugh and snort all the tea down the wrong pipe.
I totally love high heels. When I worked in a bank I wore silk dresses or the femal version of the white shirt and tie a lot, with a skirt of course. Always, with the heels. Probably why my spine is toast now. But I miss the clothes! It's been 20 years since I decided to go into the hospital biz and do something besides put money in someone's pocket.
Now my idea of "dress-up" is a natty silk blouse and a pair of nice jeans, with pearls of course. And verrry comfortable shoes. Since I sit cross-legged a fair amount I have to wonder how comfortable those pearls would be.
Takes me back to the eternal East-West question: Do you wear your shoes in the house?

So many one liners and not a one of them fit for the forum! I'm long past snorting on this thread!

I'll just say A Big Pearl-Guide Thanks to Sheryl for her Important Safety Tip and leave it at that.

We don't wear shoes in the houses in Hawaii. It's a big no-no. I love dressing up (for me) for a party and wearing my boots or fun shoes and just leaving them in a big pile out by the door. On the island of Molokai the story goes that if you are the last to leave the party, you will leave with the worst pair of slippahs (flip-flops to you mainland folks). Supposedly when you leave, you take the best pair. Now that's community sharing, Hawaii style. My friend who lived there said she knew people that tried to do that with the cars as well.

You don´t wear shoes indoors in Sweden either. My boyfriend think that´s really strange and we tend to joke about it a lot.

But really, shoes inside = dirty floors. They get lots of dust, grain and other stuff on them outdoors. You might not notice it if you´re a 21 year old guy that never vacuumclean though...

Or even knows what a vacuum cleaner is?? I have a 44 year old that is still trying to figure out how drawers in a dresser work.
