airdancer, the 9-10mm set were still available when i started looking but i wanted bigger sizes so i was choosing between AAA 10-11mm vs 9-10mm gem quality...... then when i saw the tahitian charm bracelet, i really like those so i thought i'd go for the freshdamas as well to save on shipping .oh well.......maybe i'll wait untill i go to the US in september to purchase the pearls....maybe if i'm lucky, someone will stock up and i can get some 10-11mm gem quality ![]()

| I don't even want a pair of the bigger ones, all I need is a 12 mm center piece in the right overtone for a graduated 6-10 mm strand, and I don't think it's happening anytime soon ... just a few of each ...

Over the top? Really? They're gorgeous, but seem pretty demure as pearl presentations go in my opinion. Very wearable, especially with the two colors of gold. Or is that platinum on the diamond settings? Then again, I wear pearls with jeans and flipflops so I may be desensitized to the perception of drama or formality many people attach to them?

here are my pearls, it's beautiful and i loooove it!! i think the luster of FWP is a lot closer to ss pearls than akoyas. now i understand why i read that akoyas have a metallic luster.Last edited by v_ni; 09-06-2008 at 01:48 PM.

GORGEOUS pics! I love all of them, and find the starfish SS lovely! Your new FWP are sooo nice, gosh I wish I gotten that size now. Did you request an overtone? I can't quite pick up (so didn't perceive any difference in overtone btw your Mikis and your local ring). I paid GST, but they billed me *much later*, after receipt of goods and all.
