Hello pearl people,

Recently I was able to acquire an abalone shell that had an impressive number of natural blisters in it. This poor fella was one busy abalone! A good number of them will have to be processed and used as clusters because they formed so close together. I think that eventually I will cut it into two clusters. I thought that it would be fun to post a picture because of it's rather impressive size. What do you think?

Regards,
J Marcus

Wow-- that poor little guy! All those lumps couldn't have been so comfortable to live with!

They should polish up nicely. And a little gold edging will do wonders. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished jewelry!

Wow, at least 3 fab pendants in there! I have never seen them like that before, guess because of them being naturals. Are the backs all filled in when they are naturals, or do you need to use a mother of pearl backing on them also? Hopefully this is not a repeat question---
Thanks for your interesting contributions, too, J.
