At last, a spare moment to post my City strand pictures! Here are close ups (my first attempt at taking pearl pictures...), as well as a side-by-side shot with my mom's vintage akoyas (check out the amazing gold, pearl, and ruby clasp!!).

On-the-neck shots. The second one is (sleepy-looking) me right now, wearing a t-shirt and jeans...the necklace goes with everything! I have worn my new pearls pretty much every day since I got them

Wow Elisa they look just oh so beautiful on you. I love them just over jeans and a Tshirt as well - look great with your long dark hair!

As for your Mum's pearls - they really still look lovely, and the clasp!! Stunning!

PS well done with the photos, too! And thanks for posting the pics!

You look stunning in the pearls. It's easier to part with the money when you know you can get two styles in one and they will last a lifetime. Thanks so much for all the beautiful photos!

Here's mine, arrived this morning.
Two City strands, ivory over-tones, custom made to 36" and 38" long so's I can wear them together (I do love multi strands with clips, brooches etc. as shorteners)

i'm not using a shortener in the first photo, but in the third I have the necklace pulled a bit tighter with the help of a bobby pin...so do i use a shortener? the answer is "sometimes, kind of"
