| These pearls though they may be natural in color have most likely still been bleached. This is the standard process with Akoyas. I believe what Terry was pointing out was the great coloration of the pearls. He didn't mention that they were untreated.

| LOL Of course they are not bleached. I wasn't joking when I said they are a natural color. They've been cleaned and polished. |

| My parents were up here visiting today, and I showed these to my mom... she is buying me a pair of the earrings and a strand of the baroques for Christmas. I just placed the order. I am really excited, and I'm looking forward to seeing them in person (but less excited about then handing them over to Mom to keep for me until Christmas <LOL>). --Robin |

| I think I'm good. She doesn't have pierced ears, plus I have as leverage A) her Christmas gift, an emerald-cut diamond ring with sapphire side stones, and B) her yearly cancer survivorship present-- I've started getting her an annual "something yellow" as a sort of upgrade from the yellow rubber bracelets. This year was a small yellow diamond in a pendant, next year will be one of the Pearl Paradise November specials, the golden SS pearl pendant. I'm already looking forward to the year after-- a yellow sapphire, perhaps? My dad is not a jewelry-buyer, so I'm trying to make up for that :-). But I digress. As for the natural Akoyas, I got an e-mail that my package is on its way. --Robin |
