Once I started doing research on my great-grammy's newly discovered pearls I've gone right down the rabbit hole looking for more information about pearls. I'm a writer so I'm always sniffing around for new ideas and this is fascinating! Does anyone know if there are books about historic pearl collecting/pearl-diving? Looking for pre-1900's techniques/cultures. (aka Ama – The Pearl Diving Mermaids of Japan)
