    I made the necklace for fun - it was just to show what is possible at the extreme... I am always looking for pearls that are stupidly large ... like the 18-20mm Tahiti necklace I posted a couple of days ago.

    The larger pearls in the strand are 35mm - 37mm.

    They are very large "coin" nucleated. I selected them form about 100 kilos of raw material at a Chinese farm.

    I saw that lot ... I need white colour .... The closest I have seen is some cylinder nucleated freshwater - but they are all short cylinders and I think they look too "false". I would prefer a more free-form shape.

    About 3 years ago, I found a pearl in the shape of a perfect golf tee. We made a nice diamond golf ball in 18 carat gold and ever since I have been looking for a pearl that would work as a golf club ....Does anyone have a bright idea of how I can finish my mad project?

    We have just produced a round 18-20mm Tahiti necklace - nice colour and lustre. Has anyone ever seen a necklace larger than this? Is this currently the largest necklace in the world?
