    Black Friday 2021

...And here's the Kojima necklace I will wear it with... (I tried and tried to take my own photos of both but they are just a blurry, colorless mess. I find pearls so hard to photograph.)

    Black Friday 2021

Great minds think alike, BWeaves! I did the exact same thing...bought the purple pendant I had been eyeing for months at Kojima. It arrived today and it's more beautiful than I expected. Here's Kojima's photo of the pendant...

Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

My first, very simple Tahitian and leather necklaces. So easy, so fun to make. Leatheroo cord and CMW pearls. Camera didn’t pick up the colors well... first necklace has blue T’s; second has lovely olive green pearls.

Thank you everyone for your advice about my wedding outfit. I do like #2...I just wish I had THIS shortener from Mikimoto (around $3,800 usd) instead of my much less expensive silver brooch from Talbots. Although I think silver looks better with the blue akoyas than white gold (I keep...

As I threatened to do, I’m requesting your opinions on which necklace pendant combination looks best for an upcoming wedding l’m attending. The outfit is a navy lace-like top with navy silk wide leg pants (not the jeans in the photos!). The possible pearls are two 18” necklaces of silvery blue...

jeg, just when I think you can’t possibly surprise us with any more beautiful pearl looks, you show us that long scatter necklace combination. And then you top that off with the those fantastic little H earrings. What a gracious shape they are, and the combination of rubies, turquoise, and...

Jeg, those are simply amazing Tahitian strands...so many brilliant colors! Eolian pearls...the reflections in the earrings are so sharp. It’s a beautifully matched pair that I bet your mother will cherish. And I love the bracelet...aurora borealis in a pearl. You both inspired me to purchase...

So fun to see these unique designs, Douglas. I looked up the Maviado earrings because I wanted to see how big they are...they are door knockers...and only cost a mere £10,995. But they do have other lovely pearl and gemstone earrings that are relatively reasonable. I do find myself attracted...

These are some of my pandemic pearls. Both are from Pacific Pearls, with the CFP pendant set by Kojima. The necklace consists of “pondslime” CFP; I love all the wonky colors in both pieces. The two closeups show the reverse sides of the necklace and the pendant.

    My pearls

Sorry to hear about your arm, Douglas. Hope you're not in pain and that your injuries are healing quickly. Here are a couple of photos of embellished casts for your consideration. The pink cast has pearls but may be a bit girly for you. The brown one is very cool and would be greatly...

I've been having trouble with FedEx deliveries from Sea of Cortez Pearls and Pearl Paradise, and I'm wondering if it's a local thing or whether it's more widespread. (I apologize in advance for the rather long rant...) I was due to receive packages via FedEx from both Sea of Cortez and Pearl...

    Thank you and opinions please

Welcome to the forum, DonnaH! I am new here, too, and pretty new to collecting pearls. If I understand you correctly, you want a strand of small (6-7mm) pearls. I think this size might be hard to find in round Tahitian pearls (but please correct me if I'm wrong, fellow forum members). You...

Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

(I accidentally posted this in comments about the new forum. Oops!) I am behind in my "thank you's" to all of you who welcomed me to the forum. I so appreciate the warm words. Here is my first strand of "real" pearls. I'm not sure if they are akoyas or freshwater. They are very round (but not...
