Please help me identify what kind of pearls I have.

My guess is baroque akoyas, because of the shapes and the bead nucleus. Since you plan to restring them, you may like to have a look at the stringing tutorials stickied in the Lowly Beaders' Club section. https://www.pearl-guide.com/forums/the-lowly-beaders-club.31/

    What pearls are these?

Mexico doesn't produce SSP, no; if they are SSP keshi, they would not be from Mexico. If they are natural pearls from a river, they would be freshwaters (just not from China, where cultured freshwaters come from nowadays).

Need input on two pairs of earrings from pearl source and pearl paradise

I assumed they were SSP due to size. Akoyas do not tend to be larger than 9.5-10mm, because the oyster is smallish. If you were fortunate enough to find a pair of AAA over-10mm akoya studs, I would expect them to be very, very expensive, because of rarity.

May I suggest you consider taking the CPAA Pearls As One course, to learn more about pearls? There is free code. I'll message you with it.

Need input on two pairs of earrings from pearl source and pearl paradise

That is the problem with pearl grading. Unlike diamonds, there is no standard grading in pearls-- every vendor sets their own standards. This is because pearls have so many different qualities to compare -- it's much more complicated than the 4 Cs of diamonds. This is also why matching pearls...

Need input on two pairs of earrings from pearl source and pearl paradise

I'm curious as to why you bought studs of such vastly different sizes to choose between. What size do you ideally want? Pearls are all about luster, so I tend to lean toward more lustrous pearls, rather than size. But that's me. The little dent in the large pearl will probably not be very...

    Are these real fresh water

Yes, those are freshwater pearls. They could use a gentle bath; grime has accumulated around the drill holes. I would also restring them as the thread/knots would be dirty as well; if it's silk, that would also weaken it, which would risk breakage. It's easy to do your own restringing-- many...

Your opinion on best value freshwater pearls (The Pearl Source/Pearl Paradise/Pearls of Joy/ Pure Pearls)

"Quality is remembered long after Price is forgotten" Aldo Gucci. Get the best quality you can afford; mediocre pearls will always be mediocre, but earrings can always be bought later. There will be future occasions for giving her pearls. As to size-- there is a phenomenon we call Pearl...

How does Mikimoto authenticate their pearls?

Back when I first bought my Freshadama pearls (earring-grade freshwater pearls from Pearl Paradise) I took them to Bailey Banks & Biddle jewelers to compare with their Mikimoto strands. The luster of my freshwaters was comparable to Mikimoto A1 grade pearls (A1 is a step below A).

    What the heck are these?

I had the same thought process. I don't think I've ever seen a strand of dyed FWP that color.

    What the heck are these?

Honora's FWP are not usually that round, though. And their dyed FWP tend to be more colorful. I've also never seen that clasp with Honora pearls (not that I'm any sort of expert on Honora.)

The Pearl on my silver 950 ring glows with blue circle under artificial light

950 likely refers to Platinum. NSS sounds like the maker of the ring. I am not familiar with the mark.

    What the heck are these?

Given the size, shape and color, I would say they are dyed akoyas.

    Are these saltwater Tahitian Pearls?

I was actually referring to the pits and how they affect the appearance.

    Are these saltwater Tahitian Pearls?

I would say yes, but the surface quality is low.

Is my antique pearl engagement ring repairable?

Such a sad thing to happen! If the pearl is no longer suitable for the ring, another way to wear it would be to place it in a little cage-type pendant.

Pearls passed down from grandmother help identifying what kind they are

It seems likely that the original necklace was not long, but rather a two strand necklace. At this point I would be surprised if they were not imitations. That generation often treasured their imitation pearls as though they were real. They may have even thought they were real. My MIL...

Pearls passed down from grandmother help identifying what kind they are

Interesting that they were restrung. They way they are strung now-- no knotting between pearls, generic clasp, and the way it is finished (the end beads next to the clasp)-- are all low end. But if that was not that way the original necklace was strung, that could be significant. Imitation...
