Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

Thanks, heartofawareness! StevieBoy, what do you think about the length and color? I really like the color of conch shell beads. I pretty much like anything made of conch shells.

My shopping mood for Pearls By The Bay went with light pieces that I thought were fun. These two lengths are a mix of beads, shells and pearls. I made the short necklace with pearls I bought at the first PBTB.

ooh! i love all the organic shapes and also the shell rondelle/tube beads as spacers! So chic!

Yes, I quite like this length and color of conch shell. I'm inspired by how Jason Momoa wears alot of dusty pastel colors, and Im taking a cue from him on how to style myself.
I think this rope is about 42 or 44 inches? I really want to make a FWP pearl strand, but I worry about how to store it in a way that the pearls dont scratch/stretch out the silk.

I love the way Jason Momoa wears his pearls. I really don’t worry at all about pearls scratching. They are pretty durable, but for some of my strands, I just wrap some loose cloth around them and put them in their pouch. Have you thought about using Serafil thread? Pattye sells this on Etsy. It doesn’t stretch like silk and is easy to use. (PatriciaSaabDesigns)

ooh! ive never tried, but I will look into it. Its such a pill living in the Philippines sometimes, for some reason, on etsy specifically-with their payment system with paypal, buying things and paying for them becomes so many hoops to jump through.
Its crazy because i buy things on amazon and ebay all the time with no hassel- only etsy :(

I guess it's Shark Week at the BWeaves house. Grocery shopping pearls.

Tahitans from Kamoka. White gold Akoya Huggies from Mikimoto. I'm trying to decide which earrings to wear with my Sharky pendant. Anything goes with it. I think I'll wear the pair of studs on the left again.

Sharky looks good from all sides. Front side is greenish mother of pearl looking. Back side is a darker greyish green. The pearl itself is quite large and very smooth, with gorgeous blue green color with pink and purple overtones. Very, very pretty. The shark carving is just too cute. You just want to pet him.

I love Sharky!

So hot and rainy today. Getting out my summer pearls. Too hot to layer up the pearls, so just a single pendant today.

Jurassic Time Traveler from Kamoka. It's a carved peacock Tahitian wire wrapped with a fossil shark's tooth. I'm really NOT into sharks, so I'm surprised that I have 2 shark related pearls from Kamoka. This pendant with the shark's tooth, and then the Sharky pendant with the carved shark (another great summer pearl).

I love mismatched earrings. I originally bought the black and white pair with white gold backs from Kamoka (the pair on the right) and they go with everything. The white pearl is actually the color of pale blue akoyas, and the black pearl has an amazing purple halo. I liked the pair so much that I bought the pair on the left with yellow gold findings from Kamoka, too. The white pearl is lavender and the black pearl is emerald green and pink peacock. It's the pair I'm wearing today. I'm so glad the gold findings are different colors, so I can tell the pairs apart, although I could mix and match the 4 pearls, I never do.

I've been playing around with fonts, and wove these Dream / Weave bookmarks. They read Dream from one direction and Weave from the other. The Greg bookmark is not quite as successful. My husband showed me his name upside down, and I tried to weave it, but the "r" ends up looking like an "a" and throws it off.

Love the weaving and how it changes forwards to backwards. Such a cool design!

What a cool design to those bookmarks, BWeaves!

Thank you BWeaves, MOPTrumpet and heartofawareness! The story behind Bunny and the Traveling Pearl: The Traveling Pearl is my original pendant that I bought from PP years ago. I pretty much wore it daily and it is the one piece of jewelry that always travels with me. I used to send pics of the pearl on vacation to Jeremy, and he coined it the “Traveling Pearl”. It got to be too fussy to take the necklace off and try to keep the pearl still for pics, so a few years back, I found Bunny at an airport shop. Bunny wears the original Traveling Pearl, and I wear the second, which is also years old. The third Traveling Pearl is rarely worn. It was a special purchase that will be from 10 years ago in a few months. I wore it for my late husband’s celebration in Hawaii. PP had a special Tahitian pendant sale at the time, so I also bought my sister, sister-in-laws, mother, and mother-in-law, pendants for the celebration. Here’s a grainy pic of three of us- there were seven women all together.

I love the Traveling Bunny and pearl story jeg. Plus, what a wonderful remembrance of your late husband's celebration.

Love your carved Tahitian @BWeaves If you didn't say there was a shark carved into it, one would never know because it's so subtle...beautiful! (it could pass for a dolphin, LOL)

This looks so much fun!

StevieBoy, I hope you love that new rope!

Thank you CatMom and Douglas! I love these fun little random strands. And here’s another one worn a couple times. First pic with a strand of golden SS keshi from Takahashi. Second pic with a golden SS pendant from Katbran and a Jewelmer leather bracelet.

Go for it.......go for it.......go for it......... I say that because I am on a jewelry ban for the moment, lol. I have to get my fix from someone else. Oh those pistachio earrings are fabulous.

No, no, no, you're supposed to be talking me OUT of buying pearls. I'm on ban island with you. I'm retired, and I barely leave the house. I have plenty. More than I need. I really need to write out an inventory so my family knows what I have.

Actually, part of me starting to post my pearls again, is to remind me how much nice jewelry I already have and should enjoy more.

I like green, too, BWeaves. All those keshi are fantastic!

I’ve been having all sorts of trouble getting into this website, trying to post, then I can’t log out. Tried all sorts of things on my end, but still haven’t resolved the issue. I must be the only one because no one else has had any issues???

Anyways… Little h earrings and SS Paspaley pearls from Cees.
