Well, knock me over with a feather! If someone else posted about this, I completely missed it. My co-administrator, and sage advisor on all-things-pearl, Caitlin Williams, has been published on the Pearls of Joy blog. The first two installments are here and here. I am looking forward to part three!

Do be sure to go and have a look. A lot of our Pearl Guide photos are featured and Caitlin has followed freshwater Chinese cultured pearls from the beginning of their heyday and has great information to share.

hmmm--I looked back and I received the e-mail announcement from Kevin on Jan. 19, 2015 called "New Blog Post: The Evolution Of Freshwater Pearls - Part 1".

I'm not sure I got an announcement of the second installment, however.

Thanks for the post Blaire! It's something I wanted to do for a while but the more I thought about it the more I wanted Caitlin to do it.

Some of the newer members won't know this but years ago Caitlin predicted the rise of Freshwater pearls and was their biggest proponent on these forums. At the time we were just seeing colored strands becoming readily available and the luster and shape were slowly getting better, but still not great. Fast forward about a decade and FWP are the everywhere in every shape and color and we have FW pearls rivaling the very best saltwater pearls. Who better to write about them then Caitlin right?

We're still tweaking the articles a little bit so that's why you haven't seen any promotion yet, but if you sign up for the POJ blog newsletter you'll receive updates when the new posts are finished.
