Default Rikitea Blue bodys on a play date

Thought it might be fun to show a couple of round blue body Rikitea strands from Pearl Paradise. Plus a couple of old friends also from Pearl Paradise. It was a great afternoon playing with pearls with friends.

Those look amazing! What fun to see the subtle differences in colors and overtones, must add, all are beautiful, no one favorite here!

Those are all lovely ... I like the 2 round blues worn together! Longing for some fat ringed baroques myself; maybe next year

Yes, it is nice to be able to get together with Newberry regularly. She took a ton of photos -- even more are up on PS.

I'm glad everyone enjoyed the pictures.

Jeremy was very kind to send me the two Rikitea strands to view. I so wish I could keep both. The midnight blue and the teal blue are both gorgeous in different ways. The dark blue strand looks best in natural light -- either outside or near a window it really shines; it looks almost black in fluorescent light, but still lovely. The teal strand really pops, and I hate to let it go -- I know it will find a good home soon.

Since both colors are beautiful, the final decision came down to size for me. I want a 20-21" strand, and Jeremy has a few 11-12 mm loose pearls that match the darker strand, so I have the opportunity to have a longer strand with larger pearls at center front. If similar loose pearls were available for the teal strand, I likely would have chosen that one. I hope some day I will find a baroque strand with that kind of coloration.

I'm glad one of the most special of those strands went to the right home!

It's so clear, looking at layered strands like this...all pearls are friends with all other pearls.
