Default PEARL BUYING GUIDE... THE UPDATED 5th EDITION

Many of you have probably already know this and some of you may have already received your copy, but for the rest of you I would like to introduce you to the recently released (updated 5th edition) of

THE PEARL BUYING GUIDE, by RENEE NEWMAN GG

It is a wonderful rundown of what can be a dizzying subject for novices and those looking to learn the basics about pearls of every variety. We have found these small and easy to read and navigate books a wonderful tool in educating (or distracting) husbands while their wives shop for pearls. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to expand their library or have a portable guide to recognizing different sorts of pearls and making educated decisions.
Many of the contributors of Pearl-Guide are featured in the hundreds of photos, and Renee has worked tirelessly to present this updated version about the ever changing world of pearls.
The latest edition can be purchased online at
    Barnes and Noble:

Thank you Renee, for all your diligent research and continued respect for this our favorite gem!
I hope some of you will buy this book not only in support of Renee, but in support of pearl education in general!

I agree! You couldn't find a book with more beautiful color photos of pearls per inch than this one. Just inside the front cover is Steve Metzler's abalone and pipi pin. (I knew I forgot something at the post office - mailing Steve's copy to him!)

The book is beautiful, informative and very affordable. There's no down side to buying this one, folks! Lots of changes from the last edition.

    Sarah,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention! Mine just arrived, along with "The French Blue, great summer time reading!

As you mentioned, Sarah, Renee Newman's book is a great one for newbies, too, who want a reference book and get alot for their $$'s.
