Well, here we are again! A rainy Saturday, but that’s ok, because I opened a drawer looking for a pearl match, and promptly forgot what I was doing. The color-shifting magic pearls are on top of the heap, and were so coppery-pink I lost track of time trying to capture them. Didn’t succeed, but 4C6E7A25-1DCD-47F7-B0DD-62F0574D3C04.jpg

    What’s Better Than Breakfast?
    11 years of pearls,

from EBay to PoJ, PP, to Pattye,
    Kojima to Kamoka,
    off to Kokomo,
get there fast or you can take it slow.....

    Better than a pirate’s chest.

Sorry this photo is blurry, but this is the light that spilled out of the drawer when I pulled it open.

    Lovely glow there, Lisa!

Today I made a large pot of ratatouille and roasted some chestnuts, and am going to sear some dry scallops for supper. Yum!

After a frustrating and exhausting 2 days of doctors, therapists, pharmacists etc., I've done absolutely NOTHING today, ;(. Did manage to put some rows on a lace shawl I'm knitting for my sister, while I avoided doing anything else constructive ... and ... I'm going to Pearl Dreams for supper LOL. Chestnuts, ratatouille and dry scallops? Oh, my that sounds good. Lest anyone fret though, Walter is in the kitchen cooking seafood cakes, baked potatoes and jalapeno poppers. At least that's the plan

Pearl Dreams, That’s the truth, the light just popped out of the drawer! I think Tinkerbell and some other Disney characters have accomplished this feat, I never have before. I might try to do it again tomorrow

So, good friend, I think you’ve captured our attention! Cathy and I will follow our noses to your kitchen, or I’ll follow my nose to Walter’s Mess...this is fun.

Cathy, do you have an ‘update’ somewhere? What’s going on? Or, I can mind my own business, but what good is that?

Please do keep us posted CathyKeshi! We do care!
This morning I was going through ALL my pearls...which is not a lot, sadly enough! Most the pearls in my collection are Naturals...have some conch, clam, a few Abalone and Lion's paw scallop and probably hundreds of Pen shell and black-lip and rainbow-lip pearls from the Gulf of California.
Also some SSPs...mostly Golden, a few Tahitian and one of my favorites: a beautiful Kamoka drop pearl! Which reminds me I need a J Hunter pearl!
Also, a good enough amount of FWPs...including a Fireball I was supposed to cut in half to check its innards...

These remind me of "caramel candies"...the baroque drop is quite large! Then, there's also the funky shapes

I was also looking for my "experimental subjects"...the pearls I can use for experiments. I just feel like I should restart the experiments and YouTube videos.
