I am fine. Happy, healthy but fat wearing pearls every day. I do read but don't post much. Changed jobs and now work 6 days a week. Waving to all the pearl peeps and sending hugs too.

Well I'm up for a roll call, even though we're in PA. Doing okay, a sharp chill in the air, and Walter and I took a ride yesterday, to sit well masked and distanced, around a campfire with friends we haven't seen since last December ... it was so nice.

We're in the flat, boring part of LA, so relatively free from fires, landslides, and the like. I used to wish we were in the canyons, but then some friends who were almost got burnt out -- there were marks on the hillside where the fire burned down to where the sprinklers were on. I used to wish I had a house on the bluffs overlooking the ocean, until i drove by after the Northridge earthquake. There was nothing but some debris on the hillside. All the earthquake proofing in the world won't help if the ground falls out from under you! No, flat and boring is the way to go.

Hi back, you guys! I’m glad to hear you’re ok. I’m turning into a Nervous Nellie, I know, but my sister called and said “um, not to put too dark a cast over your day, but you know the fires on the West Coast? Well, did you hear they just had an earthquake? Mild-ish, but LA, San Diego...”

She works numbers with emergency management, so hears things fast. Plus, she knows we have Pearlies out there. I’ll try to be more Zen, and not pester people. , because, we do have busy Pearl people all over the world.

But!!!! While I’ve got you all here, kisses and hugs, thank you for posting updates and your good humor, and continuous well-wishes to you all.

P.S. Cathy, I know! I got so chilled in Pgh that I opened up my Winter dresser, and dug out my only clean sweatshirt on Friday! (Christmas iron-on, no shame, that chilled) People North of us are probably snickering...but dang, I felt the nip!
