Default A "royal" parure coming up for sale

I thought these were interesting. They have a possible Napoleon III connection.

You got my attention. But that's not a tiara. It's a comb, and would have been placed in the top of a high bun at the back of the head.

I was wondering if you'd weigh in! I was thinking that the "tiara" would require a VERY high hairdo lol. Is any of it wearable in today's world?

I think it's all wearable, but the comb is going to require long hair and an updo.

I wonder if the comb was used to anchor a lace or embroidered mantilla or veil?

That's a bargain for a panure with royal provenance.
