I played with some cut steel -- it does sparkle like diamonds, especially by candlelight. Also by candlelight, rose cut diamonds sparkle better than modern cuts. I put it to the test in our last major power outage.

Not beads, but my latest project: wire wrap. I took a class 10 years ago, and haven't tried it since. Luckily my notes are not too bad. The stone is a moonstone.

That’s beautiful. Maybe I could try that with my unset gemstones. Now where did I put those wirewrapping books.

Oh, Linda, I love the blue lace agate necklace and the moonstone pendant, which both turned out beautifully.

Thank you, everyone!!! I've been working on this next one for some time. The aquamarine beads are pretty small. The necklace is shorter than I planned, because I didn't allow as much string for the myriad knots as I should have. Lesson learned.

Well done on the knotting of the Aquamarine rondelles, the more you knot beads and pearls the easier it is to judge the thread length.

The smaller the beads the more thread you use, below 3mm I usually use three times the length plus one half length.
3mm to 5mm I use three times the length.
