Oh, my! I hope everyone in the vicinity of the hurricane stays safe and unharmed! It appears that the east coast, north of FL could also be hit.

My sister is in Leesberg, FL. They are packing sandbags, etc. Her house was built to withstand Cat 3 hurricane as she is inland and that's what they spec the houses there to. Good luck Bweaves-- supposedly she said it's turning a little eastward and won't be as devastating as the Bahamas.

UPDATE: I think I’ll only be on the outskirts of Dorian. Whew! But there’s still another day or so to go before I’m out of it. Bad weather should start hitting in about an hour. But I'll take 35 mph winds over 185 mph winds any time. Also, I'm central so I shouldn't have a storm surge. My heart really breaks for the people of the Bahamas.

WHEW! I got off easy. Very little wind or rain. I was on the very outer edge that was moving south as Dorian was moving north, so even the wind was much less than expected. I feel very lucky. Dorian should be well past me by noon today.

Very relieved you're safe BWeaves! Nathan's brother in Savannah had to evacuate, but in the end they didn't sustain too much damage either.
