I looked through my stash of unset gemstones and came up with this Winza ruby cut by Jeff White that I've had for years, waiting for the right project. I also had a pair of alexandrite, that I'm pretty sure came from Mastercut Gems.

I took them to T Lee in Minneapolis, and worked with Soren on a design for earring jackets. They can be worn with my Sea of Cortez studs, or with gold hoops. You can see the design and the computer drawing.

Finally, my new Sea of Cortez earrings. The natural was a bit pinker, so I paired it with the ruby. The gem keshi from the website is paired with the alexandrite. I love the mismatched look here.

I know that some of you saw JerseyPearl's Instagram post a few days ago, where she was making 18k gold headpins for a project involving Sea of Cortez keshi. These headpins are gorgeous.

    And, after polishing.

The Sea of Cortez keshi to be set were the 15 pearls in my Lots A and G. I have admired JerseyPearl's amazing wire work, and her pearl drilling skills. I selected her for this project, and I could not be more delighted. I wanted the pearls to dangle from an 18k gold chain that I had.

And, here is the glamour shot of the completed necklace. It is winging its way to me today, so no neck shots until next week.

But, I think the final necklace is stunning. I am so pleased. Thank you, JerseyPearl.

Ha Ha Red; I SO appreciate your kindness! In grey, dreary PA, I'm going stir crazy for color, sun and beauty lol. JP didn't spill a single hint, but based on materials, I had 2 guesses as to where those headpins were going; I was so hoping it was you . Look forward to seeing you model these . Wear them in joy and good health!

Am I guessing right that you could also slip one of those earring jackets onto a thinner gold chain and wear as a small pendant if you want? Jackets was a brilliant idea.

And, that leaves only the "Best Biggest Keshi" from the 2019 harvest. I am thinking a pendant, and I have a design appointment next month to work on it. I found a pretty Umbalite garnet in my stash that is a possibility.

    Stay tuned for further developments....
