Default Wall Street Journal Article on current Pearl Trends and desirability

This article in yesterday's WSJ is really great. It would have been greater if it had mentioned some of our pearl artists, but the trend is in our favor.

The article is behind a paywall....I think I'll need to pay a visit to our library to read it.

Edit: Finally read it at library today. Thanks for posting it.

I like the article...but I have to say I'm not sure I would credit the Duchess of Cambridge nor the Duchess of Sussex as setting pearl trends. (If any of you are Royalist do not bash me! lol).
No, Midge said, I take it back. I wouldnt get a mink coat the first thing. Know what Id do? Id get a string of pearls. Real pearls. Yes, Annabel said, slowly. I think thats a kind of a good idea. And it would make sense, too. Because you can wear pearls with anything.

BPD. I love watching the Royals (I lived in England for 6 years), but I do not think it's them setting the pearl trends, either.

Thanks for posting, Judi. Such an interesting article. I do agree with others that I wouldn't think of Duchess Kate or Megan to be pearl trendsetters. Princess Diana was more of a trendsetter in my opinion. She loved pearls & wore some real beauties!!
