    Default Intergem - mini Ruckus?

Intergem is scheduled this weekend at the Dulles Expo in Northern Virginia. Is anyone planning on going, that might be interested in getting together for a mini Ruckus meetup? Please send a PM to coordinate.

I used to go all the time back in VA in my youth. I hope you find a GemBuddie to go with you!

No, Midge said, I take it back. I wouldnt get a mink coat the first thing. Know what Id do? Id get a string of pearls. Real pearls. Yes, Annabel said, slowly. I think thats a kind of a good idea. And it would make sense, too. Because you can wear pearls with anything.

TXPearlLV, Intergem shows are open to the public, yes. There is modest admission fee, usually for 2 days, and there are discount coupons online. Each city has different vendors, so content varies a lot. Most shows do have a separate “wholesale” section or room you need credentials to get into such as a tax #, business name etc. I’ve been to DC downtown, Dulles/Chantilly, and Oaks, PA (Phila. suburb) shows, all quite different. Never a lot of pearls, although there are some, mostly FW. But it’s fun to look at all the bling ... I like the antique/vintage jewelry vendors

I would attend these shows while I was still in High School and a budding gemology nerd. When I was credentialed enough to make it to the "Backroom"...oh boy!
