The clothes are so durn cute and perfect to show off the pearls! I especially love the dresses! Really keeps the pearls from being too serious!

Thanks so much Pattye and Cathy! I will have to go back just to shop for clothes. I love the playful styles, Asian sizing and great prices!

I confess, my clothing style choices have changed since I've been on Pearl Guide. Partly to show off pearls better, and partly because I love the different ways all of you choose clothing to show off your pearls. Thank you!!!

BW, I've started factoring pearls into clothing decisions now too. When looking at tops or dresses, I always consider whether the neckline will accommodate pearls!

Wonderful memories in these pictures, jeg! Iím particularly enjoying your clothing pics since I didnít get to see most of these on. Theyíre adorable ! And the new pearl purchases...sigh..

Itís taken me awhile to sort through my own pics but Iíve got most of day 1 done.

To begin, here are a couple of pics of the view from our room. We were on the 17th floor. It was clean, quiet and a 10 min shuttle ride from both the airport and the show. It was also attached to an upscale mall so we had access to nearby restaurants and the MTR which is similar to a subway.

Most of our traveling was done by MTR:

The Mass Transit Railway is a major public transport network serving Hong Kong. Operated by the MTR Corporation Limited, it consists of heavy rail, light rail, and feeder bus service centred on an 11-line rapid transit network serving the urbanised areas of Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and the New Territories. Wikipedia

I have **no** sense of direction so had it been up to me, we would have taken taxis everywhere. But jeg is a whiz and suggested we buy octopus cards and travel by MTR. A quick glance at the map and she knew just where to go. When I commented on her amazing sense of direction, she was very modest, but after following her around for a week, let me tell you, this woman could find her way out of the jungle in the dark.

A pic of the MTR followed by one of the maps.

As I said, most of our traveling was by MTR but we also took the occasional taxi. Our first taxi was to... Vivid Linen!! I could not wait to get to this store. Iíd practically memorized the online inventory and couldnít believe I was going to see and try on the clothes in person.

Here are some photos of the view during the cab ride, beginning with one from the back seat lol. Seeing the driverís seat and driver on the right side of the car, as opposed to the left in the US took some getting used to!

The last taxi pic I took as we neared the shopping area where Vivid Linen is located.

The taxi dropped us off in this beautiful area; it was nice get out and explore! I think there were definitely some firsts for jeg, but perhaps a few more for me since this was my first trip to Asia.
