Those tops are both just so elegant, simple and sophisticated, yet edgy seaming ... not to mention perfect pearl pieces. I can see why you bought multiple colors

Hehehe, you bought the same tops I did from Vivid Linen. Twinsies again.

I've washed my turquoise top in the handwash cycle, and dried in on a plastic hanger and then steam ironed it and it came out great.

    Haha, yes, twinsies again!

I’m glad to hear washing is so straightforward because I wondered about that!

Eventually it was time to head back and find a place to eat dinner. It was just beginning to get dark and Hong Kong took on an even more magical look as lights were turned on.

We found a restaurant where people were enjoying large bowls of noodles. We sat down and a waitress handed us these slips to fill out our order. I hadn’t realized until then how much I depended on restaurant menus with pictures. I was pretty lost, but jeg, being a Traveling Pearl, was able to fill in a lot of blanks (thank you, Traveling Pearl!). The rest of the time, I used Google on my iPhone, lol. Google: what is mixian....

I’m going to be perfectly honest and admit that I struggled for a solid half hour to eat until the waitress finally appeared and handed me a fork. No sooner would I load up the spoon with noodles than they would slide back out again and into the bowl, with a splash. We motioned to the waitress, asking for napkins but we couldn’t bridge the language barrier. Jeg suggested “Paper..?” Waitress responded “Two dollars!” And I gave up, saying “That’s ok, thank you!” Jeg and I shared a *lot* of laughs that week.

My delicious first dinner in Hong Kong.

The next day, we headed into Kowloon to the “Higglety Pigglety “ shops where Elaine found her amazing outfits. On our way to the MTR we saw this adorable display of pictures kids had done. Reminded me of the artwork I see in my kids schools.

Pic I took as we were darting in and out of the clothing shops.

As you could see by the pics jeg shared of her clothing finds, outfits were unique and very nicely made. Most of it is sewn on-site and if you can’t find your size or color, chances are they have another in the back room.

A cotton blouse that Jeg and I both got, in different colors. With a purchase I made in the last 10 minutes of the show!

The last shopping stop of the day was Rio Pearl. I could not wait to get there!

White gold and Tahitian rings— loved these! I wanted to take more photos inside the store but unfortunately it was frowned upon.
