Darn! Took too long composing my entry and I got timed out. I have to post and run because I want to hit the streets early to take in some sights before heading home tonight. Like most people, we rescheduled our flights to stay ahead of the typhoon. A shorter trip than planned, but no less fabulous and memorable!!!

So grateful to sit with pearl royalty at dinner last night. Jeremy and Hisano hosted the most delicious dinner ever. Thank you, thank you, for your generosity!

Yes! Tiny Akoya in Jeremy’s snapshot! Here are some amazing strands of Akoya pearls and keshi that I can’t wait to turn into very special pearl chains!

Will post more randomness when I return home!

Yes, I have a card will post when I get home. The guy was so friendly and I thought their things were so well made and had interesting lines.

Bangkok was lovely, much calmer, no long queues to get in and a good selection of sea pearls (although freshwater were so expensive that I didn't buy one - something perhaps a HK FW company might want to think about, they would do well)
No storms, typhoons etc, but thunderstorms a plenty - one where the road flooded around our feet on the street food stall I was eating at. Everyone helped unplug everything and then the motorbike policeman eating at the next table went to sleep until the storm finished and the water drained away.)
It was really nice to catch up with Cees too

Holy Moly did you buy all those strands !!!??? They are gorgeous !! And what a crowd at dinner ... so many happy faces. Yes, its a shame that the Typhoon is cutting everyone's stay a bit short.. people on the last day might get lucky with the prices !

Beautiful little pearls Jeg! How fun you all got to get together in HKG! I’m curious, do you need to be vendor or have a license to attend the show?

I'm supposing with limited Freshwaters that it's a smaller show which would be nice . I'd be tempted to try it but I buy so many Freshwater that I'd still have to hit HK so not sure it's financially realistic for me. Sounds interesting though!

It is much calmer and yes, smaller.
I'm glad I tried it but realistically, not enough pearls (certainly not enough freshwaters) for me either. Or findings
