    Default 2018 Ruckus Treasures

I hope to see everyone else’s treasures since I was so distracted by all the beautiful pearls this year, I didn’t have a chance to see what other’s went home with.

    From the Saturday shopping-

A long Japanese Akoya rope with a Tahitian dangle from Kojima Pearl.

A Kamoka multi-colored strand. I liked the smaller size of pearls on this strand.

With another Kamoka strand and a strand from Hawaii.

AND... from our special shopping day on Sunday at PP.
    A high luster SS strand

The pearls are matched pairs all the way up the strand.

And a single deep golden SS, I will set in a pendant later.

Wow! I was so blinded by that first strand, that I forgot about the others, and I'm pretty sure I saw them all. Gorgeous haul.

All of them just beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!!

Jeg is the akoya rope from Kojima white or blue baroque akoyas? Couldn't tell from the photo. Simply stunning,

And the SS strand to die for. And she has a twin! Oh my! Lucky girls. Major Pearl envy here!

I love those couple of SS pearls with the green tone, too.

I loved layering all the pearls at Ruckus, but as soon as I stepped off the airplane in Florida, the humidity and heat hit me, and I had to unlayer. Today I wore one of my new Ruckus treasures, my tin-cup from Kojima. I wore it with drop earrings from Kojima, and with the Swan.

    fullsizeoutput_7fc.jpg

Even though the tin-cup is yellow gold, the Swan looked better worn on the white gold choker, than the yellow gold choker. I think it's because a lot of the pearls are silvery blue.

Close up next to Mom's opal ring.

My other purchases were a freshwater keshi necklace from Kojima and 8 Freshadama pearls for when I restring Mom's lapis necklace, plus some Beader's Secret from Pattye in color Royal Blue. I'm going to replace the 7 mm akoya pearls with 10 mm Freshies. I've also ordered an orbit clasp that I'm going to add to the necklace, so I'm waiting on that. I also want to put a small orbit clasp on the keshi necklace so I can link it up with other necklaces. There's nothing wrong with the lobster clasp that's on it, but the orbits will make it more versatile for me.

I'll post after photos later. Plus, I'm waiting on my SoC pearl that PP is setting in a rose gold Frost ring setting.

Jeg - you chose some winners for sure! That SS rope is just killer. I really like the size on those.

Bweaves - I do love good lapis! I think switching those pearls out will be the perfect edit to the necklace. I agree - the tin cup looks great with the white metal.
You can never be too dressed-up.

Sunseeker, I’m so glad you got that one because I loved the colors and besides being sisters. We are sisters from last year with our Fiji bracelets, too!! I can’t wait to see it strung, so please remember to post.

Thanks so much Pareltje, BWeaves (love your new treasures!), Simply Adorned and Lary!

86C, I wanted to check with Jeremy before saying more about the golden SS strand, to make sure I didn’t say something I shouldn’t. It was “made by a farmer in the Philippines as THE prototype” for a PP special they will have in the future, so stay tuned. I think there will also be ombrés in the future.

Thank you Bcm! The Akoyas are more of a silver. Slight blue, pink overtones, but overall a silver.

Lilliefuzzysocks, you MUST post your spectacular, one of a kind, pearl! I was eying that one, but looking with my eyes and not my hands (as Newberry would say). I would love to have that one, but so glad you got it. Wow!
