Default Tiny 3mm White Natural Pearls

I hope nobody minds me submitting 3 threads.
I would appreciate any idea you can give me about these?
They are 3mm perfect rounds, cold and gritty. This is the original clasp in 9ct gold and they have not been restrung.

The photos are a little blurry but they could be cultured akoya pearls.

Sorry about the blurry...it is just that they are so tiny to zoom in on.

Agree with PD, consistent size and roundness points to cultured akoya pearls. A very desirable petite size! How long is the necklace?

I think the necklace is about 17-18"

If the clasp is original to the necklace, then 9K gold probably means the necklace was made in England.

It did come from England, you are right.

True, there are other countries where 9K gold is normal for the lowest quality of gold. I know that Britain usually has 9K or 15K. In the USA 10K is the usual lowest quality, followed by 14K and then 18K as the higher qualities. In middle eastern countries, it's more normal to see 22K and 24K gold.

Australia uses 9kt as the lowest quality of gold as well.

That is a sweet necklace. I agree, likely akoya pearls. Do you know how old it is?
