I'm just wondering how many of these similar "winners" I may have overlooked over the years.
Thank you all for the feedback.
Hi Group,
This little piece came with a grouping. Are those white things pearls? They look like bad teeth! The clasp is marked 14k and it's evident that it's old. Thank you for any thoughts.
Thanks. Those little 14k beads could break the bank!
I'm working with a new camera and still trying to adequately capture pearls. The lustre is nice, but unlikely stunning. :) Thanks!
Hi Pearl Guide Folks - I have some questions about a couple of my latests grabs. I think the ones with the 14k beads are fresh water, but I don't know, of course. And the more lustrous ones maybe...
Nope, no catalog. Better not go there! LOL
Thank you ever so much! I just made my first purchase. Boy was it ever hard to employ restraint!!
Since I do not have a Federal Tax ID number yet, where is the most reliable and fair-priced place to shop? TIA!
Thanks Katbran!
Thanks, Pattye!
I'm just here absorbing all the information I can and appreciating all the lovely pearls. Chiming in to say your finds are just lovely. :)
Pearl Dreams, the floating (fishing line) pearls are genuine. They are gritty and I can tell by the other attributes. Thanks!
My latest thrift buys. Are they akoyas and fresh water? I love the pink and gray strands and the chunky silver clasp. Thanks!
Likely looking at the glass half empty. ;) The pearl is about 6mm guesstimating.
My latest find: Pearl ring. I think it's cultured fresh water, but wanted to share. It's 14K with 4 little diamonds. I'm working through Jeremy's online classes. Hopefully I'll be better educated...
CLICLASP,
Thank you ever so much for your reply. - KM
I'm wanting to list a ring and would love to know what the "stone" is. Any clue? Thank you ever so much in advance. 59763
Awesome! I cleaned the earrings and all the pearls are gritty. :) Yay! Thank you, SA and PD! Some of these little gems are staying in my own jewelry box! I think the tourmaline colors will work...
Hello Pearl Peeps,
Yesterday I found a super cute sterling silver, pearl and glass bead bracelet, which I LOVE, at a thrift shop and a couple other little surprises. But, I don't know how to...
I'm attaching some additional images of the clasp and crisper images of the strand. I cannot believe how terrible my initial images looked once they were loaded onto the site! If anyone has any clue...
Thank you, Pearl Dreams! I wondered why the discs were odd shaped, which I've seen many times before. When shopping is no longer fun, I shall stop!
In my thrify shopping excursion yesterday, I found a cute pair of earrings and some other pearls. I threw the post earrings in the trash BC the posts are not precious, but then then fished them out...
Pearl Dreams, thank you for pointing that out.
Thank you very much, MSC, for that initial feedback as well. I'm just astounded at the knowledge here and this forum's willingness to share. The...
Thank you all for your kind words! My pearls arrived back home today. The final word from GIA as promised: The pearls are natural, near-round, saltwater from the species Pinctada. The color is cream...
