Thank you CathyKeshi! If you are in India you are welcome to come home for a nice evening of jewel talk and snacks! Yes Elephants are a common motif in India but this necklace uses them in a way I...
One highlight from the video - to make a single pendant, the artisan has to make over 100,000 precise taps on the gold with his tool, even one of which in the wrong spot could ruin the whole pendant.
Thank you pattye and BWeaves! Here is a video I found on YouTube about the manufacturing process of nakhas / nakshi / nakashi temple jewellery as it is variously called. Note that I have no...
Love these! Your deep golden SS is just dreamy and has given me major pearl goals.

Hi,
About a decade ago I had this idea of having necklaces of gemstones mixed with pearls in the middle. I got a friend of mine to create those visions for me and I still love wearing them. I am...

It is really hard to find good quality saltwater pearls in India. Freshwater yes we can find good ones but they need to be sought out carefully.
Thank you very much! I guess I wouldn’t take the risk to buy those pearls then. Because their origin is not clearly mentioned by the jewellery and they don’t seem to know it either.

This second is a Mohan haar originally from...
