I bought this pearl necklace and earrings at a shop in the Chiang Mai airport in July. The label said "natural pearls" and I asked two of the employees there if the pearls are real which they said yes of course. It was at an okay price which I didn't find surprising since it's sold in Thailand.

The box says 'Intrigue' and the necklace has indecipherable name like London Sut. But I searched them up and couldn't find anything useful online. So I'm hoping if you guys can tell me the authenticity of the pearls. Yes, they are gritty when rubbed against each other and they're not that smooth. The necklace's pearls are smaller, which are around 6 mm, while its larger earrings pearls are 7-8 mm. Thank you. I am appreciative for your help.

ya sounds like they are real, which is probably what they meant by "natural".

Without a picture It's hard to say what they are, but seeing as it's Thailand I would assume they're Chinese Freshwater pearls.
