My fiance gave this strand of pearls to me recently. They belonged to his mother who passed away. We would appreciate your help in identifying the type and quality of these pearls. What I do know: they are slightly gritty, there is a stamp on the fish hook type latch that I can't read without a magnifying glass which I do not have at the moment. I was told it reads PATP. The pearls measure at point five centimeters. I hope the pictures help with the identification. They weren't taken with a very good camera.
