Hello!

I've got this pearl necklace and matching bracelet that I am hoping somebody can help me identify. I believe it's a vintage piece, but I do not know exactly how old it is.

The necklace has a stamp that says ABJ14K in the gold clasp, but there is no other identifying marks on either of the pieces.

It appears as though these are a matching set, but the pearls on the necklace seem to be 1mm or so larger than those on the bracelet.

Any help would be appreciated!

EDIT: Spoke to my roommate who this belongs to. He doesn't know exactly how old it is but it belonged to his wife, and is maybe 20 years old or so.

I think they are 20+ years old, but not completely sure. They belonged to my roommate's wife, who passed away around 7 years ago. I tried to measure the pearls by sight with a ruler, and the larger piece looks like the pearls are 8+mm or so, and the smaller piece has ~7mm pearls. I will be able to get more photos with a white background. We are curious if this has value. He will be moving soon and if it's worth it he'll probably want to try to sell the pieces.

Here is a pic of the larger ones by a MM ruler:

It looks as though these are 8-8.5mm, and maybe 7mm on the smaller piece.

Here are some shots where I was trying to get the luster. You can see my face and blue shirt with red text, and my yellow iphone. They are clearly dirty, but you can see some blemishes on some of the pearls in these too.

With a very lovely clasp! Would you mind if we post the photos here?

I agree that they definitely look like akoya. When you zoom in though you can see a lot of stains so it's difficult to make out the overall quality, although some pearls appear to be semi-baroque. The pearls might clean up very well.

Lisa, yes you can use the photos if you would like. I will try to get clearer pictures if I can with my phone. Pattye, no, only the bigger piece is double strand. I thought the other was a bracelet but it looks like a choker necklace upon further inspection.
