Found Pearls while working at a Cannery

I worked at a cannery years ago and while cleaning the machines, I found pearls from conchs and clams. I believe they are from the Atlantic Coast off New Jersey. I have no idea if they are valuable and would like to find out more info about them. I would eventually like to sell them once I determine the approximate value of the pearls.(I changed the original pics, I think these are much better.)

The last round pearls looks best from these pictures however these are not the easiest to see

the white pearls have low value but the moment they have color and shapes that fit jewelry you see prices go up fast

if you can make some sharper pictures its easier to give you some more information

You have an interesting collection. The images could be better, but I can see what appears to be a 10mm melo melo pearl, a couple of small queen conch pearls and a mix of others.

However, if possible, photographing these individually (or a least grouped similar) on a white background using the macro setting would allow us a better view to determine quality.

Welcome, Joe, We do love seeing collections of natural pearls like yours and hearing how they were collected. I hope you can give us some close up photos on a white paper towel or something similar will help (and the macro).

I would like to find out if these pearls are valuable, as I am interested in selling them. Does anyone have any idea how I can find out how much they are worth? These pearls have not even been polished. Can anyone advise me as to the best way to polish them?

Joe, Please, do not polish! Polishing the pearls will reduce any value they have. You might want to contact these people

Thanks Pattye for your quick response. You saved me from doing any damage to them! I foolishly thought polishing them would increase the value but was unsure of how to it.
