What kind of pearls do I have and who made them?

I purchased these pearls from an online auction and was wondering if you could help me figure out what kind of pearls they are and if you recognize the makers mark. The pearls are gritty when rubbed gently against my teeth. They range in size of 3mm-8mm. The Hallmark on the clasp is 585 (I know that means 14k) and then what I think is a makers mark of what looks almost like 3 people holding hands. There doesn't seem to be any flaws in the pearls.

It is a lovely strand! Looks like Akoya pearls from a bygone era. I do not recognize the mark, but some of our members are very good Pearl Detectives and might be able to help you Sheilazellers!

Looks like a typical mid 20th century strand of akoya pearls. Generic fish hook clasp. The marks are probably those of the company that made the clasp, and not of the company that strung the pearls into a necklace.

Very pretty necklace. Enjoy!
